2009 LRNC Call for Papers

Call for papers

Staff members wishing to participate in the conference should send in an abstract of a paper, with at most 400 words, to Reinhard.Steennot@ugent.be. The deadline for abstracts is the 10th of April 2009. Confirmation of acceptance of the abstract and participation in the conference will be sent out on the 24th of April, 2009. The deadline for the working paper itself is 3th August, 2009. Researchers will find a format for the abstract on the website of the conference. We encourage researchers to use this format.

Although no specific formal requirements are attached to the working papers, the website also has a format for papers. Again we encourage researchers to use this format. No limits on length or subject are imposed upon papers. Working papers are to be considered not yet definitive articles, but having an academic line of reasoning that is already structured and developed in such a way that the author feels comfortable defending it for a small audience of interested but non-national peers. Authors presenting working papers actively seek to acquire general and specific comments in order to improve their work.

As this conference is intended for the staff members of the faculties involved and aimed at stimulating legal research on the EU dimensions to national law, the organisers accept all working papers from staff of the associated faculties. The Faculty of Law of the University of Ghent will host a conference website, through which all working papers will be made available to participating staff members, the program of the conference, venue and travel details.
